Your local airport is Cancun.  All flights will go into Cancun International Airport.  Although, the wedding is in Playa del Carmen, there is no airport in Playa del Carmen.

The main bus company is ADO which services cities and towns around Playa Del Carmen. There are colectivos which are small vans that run between Cancun and Playa and Tulum and Playa.  Colectivos make more stops, but can be an alternative to getting around.
