We are flying through this mild, weird-weathered winter toward June and we couldn't be happier! There is less than 5 months that stand between us, the beach and an intimate, gorgeous wedding!

For those of you who still haven't gotten your passports, It's time to get going! The rooms are reserved, flights are booked and we practically have our bags packed (kidding, but seriously we want to go like tomorrow)!

On an even brighter note, our guest count is final. We are going to be sharing our special day with our parents, siblings (all of them <3) and our closest friends. We are already so excited to be marrying each other but knowing we are spending a few days in Mexico our family is the best feeling ever!

There are so many of you that we wish we could share this day with, but keeping it small and intimate is important to us. However, we can't wait to celebrate with all of your when we get back!!! Honestly, good food, good music and plenty of dancing and letting loose with our favorite people...what could be better?!

4 months, 13 days, 21 hrs, 22 mins and 3....2....1 seconds....let's do this!

We are getting closer to our trip/wedding in June! Christmas Eve marked our one year engagement and there are less than 5 months left until the big day. We can't believe how fast this year has gone by! The "planning" stage of our wedding is well underway and so far pretty stress free...which is so nice!

Aside from the planning stuff we've been thinking and talking a lot about how much we are looking forward to our marriage; the next chapter in our book together, and what it will bring. As wonderful as all of that souds, we know that it's going to be hard work...luckily we are not delusional ;) There is one thing that has given us a glimpse into what makes a successful marriage. It's proved to be more helpful and real then any book, movie, or blog. Our parents have given us both the best foundation to create our own happy, long, and loving marriage.

They are the perfect examples of what a difficult but rewarding balance is between love, family and hard work. As their children we were privy to the happiest memories made at each birthday, Christmas, family dinner, bedtime story hour and much, much more. As we've gotten older we can take a step back and understand the amount of work that went into each and everything our parents did for us. It's amazing really, how fortunate we both are.

We could both sit here for hours recounting every reason our parents have been the perfect examples for us in every way, but I think instead, we are just going to prove it. We want to make them proud of how well they have taught us. And hopefully over the next hundred years we'll have the opportunity to be the same shining role models for our own children <3
