I officially met Steve in June 2017, just as I was about to make the move back down south to East Tennessee in search of happiness. I had moved back home to Maryland two years prior after finishing PA school, and just never seemed to find my happiness here. That was - until I met my Steve. My close friend Deborah Toole convinced me that I just had to meet this guy Steve before I moved, while she simultaneously convinced Steve that he just had to meet me before I left forever. Deb's dream was to hear Steve and I sing a song together before I moved. 

Low and behold, I finally met the infamous Steve, sang that duet for Deb, and immediately felt something change. In a very unlike Brooke manner, I changed all of my plans to move and took a leap of faith in choosing to stay to see how things worked out. Needless to say, I am so happy that I did ... and it worked out. 

Steve and I have been together since that time, and our love has continued to grow over the past several years through all of the ups and downs that life brings. We moved into our idea of a perfect home in the country in Kingsville, MD, and are surrounded by love from our puppies, kitties, and chickens. It's our own little peace of perfection. 

I never imaged that Deb's secret plan to introduce Steve and I would end up changing my life forever. As the saying goes, "We make plans, and God laughs at them." That could not be more true. But, I am so thankful that he did, and that I found my way into my soulmate's arms. 

September cannot come soon enough, and we thank you all for sharing this special journey with us. We also want to send a special thank you to our matchmaker and amazing friend, Deborah Toole, who will be officiating our wedding.
