AUGUST 5, 2012:
Hey guys, by now you have received your Wedding Invite, and have done some preliminary research on flights, airports, the resort, and our wedding week. We have some answers to some commonly asked questions.
1) AIRPORT:
You will be flying into Cancun. The resort is about 30 minutes south of Cancun. Some of you have seen some airfares prices thus far, but a tip we can provide is that airfare to Cancun will be much cheaper in October and September than it is now. If you can contact a travel agent for airfare, then you can have them searching for the lowest deal. Ashley and I will be buying our tickets this fall.
2. TRANSPORTATION TO THE HOTEL FROM CANCUN:
One of our guests, found www.Cancunshuttle.com. On the website you can purchase round trip tickets from the Cancun airport to the resort for only $40.00. We strongly recommend that you purchase tickets through the website ahead of time for round trip transportation. If you do not want to do this, you can purchase transportation through the resort, but is $50 each way to and from the airport. Or, you can rent a car for $20.00 per day. We do not suggest renting a car, you do NOT need it at all.
3. RSVP:
If you plan to join us, PLEASE RSVP as soon as you can. We are trying to figure out numbers for purposes of the reception, ceremony, and activities during the week. Our website has a link for you to RSVP, please do that. Ashley would like it if you could please leave your email address when you RSVP. We are asking that you RSVP on the website no later than NOVEMBER 17, 2012.
4. NEWSLETTER:
We will be sending all who RSVP a newsletter as the wedding nears. The Newsletter will explain more details about the Welcome Party, the ceremony, reception, restaurants, and things to do during the week that we are there. Again, if you do not RSVP, we will not know that you will need the Newsletter.
5. IS THERE A WEDDING PARTY?
No. We believe everyone in attendance is our wedding party. We will be having a joint bachelor and bachelorette party during the week. The details of that are TBA.
6. RESORT WEBSITE:
You should also visit the resort website for more details about the resort. If you do not want to take advantage of the membership package we have offered for = half off stay for 90 minute presentation, than your reservation will have to be with the resort directly. The website is www.karismahotels.com, and the resort we are staying at is Azul Sensatori.
7. BOOKING YOUR ROOM:
You must book your room as soon as you can. Thot resort does not have a "block" of rooms reserved for us, so you MUST book now if you are coming before the resort fills. Booking a room costs $300.00 now, and you can either pay the balance over time or in full one month before the wedding on January 5, 2013.

Welcome to Joe & Ashley's wedding web-site. Your one stop for all the information you will need to make it to our wedding this coming February 2013 -- not to mention a vacation for you. We are going to make this really easy for you and your family so it is not as daunting as it seems. Relax. Exhale.
As the wedding nears, the web-site will not only help you: a) learn more about our wedding; b) explain how to plan and book your trip; c) provide the special pricing discounts the hotel has created for those who qualify; and d) get you one step further to joining us in Mexico on February 17, 2013, our soon to be special day.
The web-site will include everything from a place to RSVP, to the name and number of our personal travel agent (Patricia) that will literally do everything but help you get off of the plane when you get there. Patricia will be the travel agent that deals with the hotel/resort, so she will work with you personally to make this process as smooth as possible. However, if you want use your own research for a better deal, you are free to do so. We will also have another travel agent TBA in Miami that will help you with airfare. But, Patricia will work on your discount eligibility with Friends in Paradise. See "Friends in Paradise" link.
Ashley and I stayed at this resort this past year and were blown away by the service, food, safety, sites to see, and activities provided. We know you will feel the same.
This website will enable Ashley and I to keep track of our guests so your particpation and cooperation is very helpful to us. We will continue to notify all of you with the latest and greatest news as it becomes known to us.
Note: it is highly recommended that you book your room early with a $300 dollar deposit. If not, the resort may be booked because it is literally the busiest time of year. There is not a block of rooms reserved for our wedding, so you have to at LEAST book your room now. An RSVP with us is not good enough, you have to book your room with either Patricia or the hotel. But, we are requiring that you RSVP no later than November 17, 2012.
We hope that that the only thing you have to do is pack your bags and dream of sun and relaxation! Kids are definately welcome, we have two of them ourself, and the resort has much for them to do, including a kids waterpark - however, you are under no obligation to bring them. |
