John and Tarrah had been together for almost 9 years before this unexpected event occured!

On December 24, 2013 John decided to Ask his long time girlfriend, Tarrah, to be his wife!

John originally had a plan to take Tarrah to the Blue Cross River Rink on Christmas eve and propose on the ice, just like how they met! But Tarrah, not knowing the plan,  insisted it would be too much because Giuliana only being two, might throw a fit trying to skate on the ice..

So john had to come up with a second plan..

He decided the week before christmas eve to put a BIG wrapped box under their tree, and the proposal would go from there!

After visiting with family all day John was very anxious to get home and open gifts , he told Tarrah "Lets open our gifts tonight, and let Giuliana have christmas to herself". Tarrah wasn't that into the plan, but went with it anyway!

Once they finally got home, John and Tarrah started exchanging gifts, John opened his first..then Tarrah.

Tarrah Opened up the big box, which ended up having several wrapped boxes inside! So she just figured he bought a bunch of little things to fill the box! The second box she opened, held a bottle of Champagne. Tarrah was a little annoyed that John would think this is something she would want as a gift on Christmas!!!!! The next box she opened was empty, as well as the box after that...she looked at john and asked "What are you up to?" and he didn't say anything! But had a very nervous look on his face. Finally Tarrah Got to the bottom of the box, where a small box sat. she unwrapped and opened the box, and saw a beautiful ring..she looked and john and he asked "So? Will you marry me??" and Tarrah Immediately started to cry, happy tears of course!

With all the excitement in the room between John and Tarrah , Giuliana must have felt something good was happening and ran up to her mom and said "MOMMY! I SO CITED!!!!" And began to jump up and down..It was her reaction that was the icing on the cake!

They opened the bottle of champagne and toasted to their relationship, family, and future lives together! It was truley a Christmas they will never forget!
