Turquise Lake

Leadville, Colorado

Trent had this planned for awhile. He must have remembered that I told him that some girls knew before the engagement because their fiance was incredibly nice and loving a couple days leading up to it. Well Trent was not being very nice a couple days leading up to it. LOL He didn't even seem interested in going to Leadville on that day anyway. He took forever cooking the breakfast and was acting so weird. We finally left and drove up to Leadville very slowly. We stopped for gas (even though he had a half tank), walked into a drive-thru Starbucks to stand in line for 10 minutes and drove the 65 the entire way. I should have caught on as this was out of the ordinary. We arrived at Turquoise Lake and went to sit by the beach but Trent wanted to walk around the lake. We came across a blanket with roses and Champagne. I knew instantly it was a spot for a proposal but not mine. I ran towards the trees to find a guy in a baseball cap taking pictures. So I ran down the beach to not ruin someone else's proposal. Trent was watching the girls run from tree to tree as I was running away. Trent tried numerous times to get me back to go look but I wasn't budging. He knelt down slowly and I still didn't register what was going on until I saw the box. I was in complete shock and loved every second! Then after I saw Elisa, Jenn, and Jamie appear along with the mysterious camera guy from the trees, Jake! It was so perfect and Trent could not have chosen a better location!

Special Thanks: Jamie for flying in from Houston, Jenn, Elisa, and Jake for setting up. It was so perfect that Michelle didn't even think it was for her. Trent did a great job making it a surprise!
