The bride, Meka Patrice was born and raised in Chicago, IL.  Being the oldest of three daughters raised by a single mother she developed a strong personality at an early age. She was nick named the "Bull dozer" by her baby sisters because of her take charge attitude and habit of offering her opinion in any scenario whether you asked for it or not. 

Although her exterior is tough, her soft spot has always been her baby girl LaMaiya, whom she gave birth to at the tender age of 17. Affectionately known as the softest part of her heart, LaMaiya helped Meka mature into the strong, fearless woman she is today.  Being a single parent has been tough and as much as she wanted a son she was determined to not have another child until she was married. "I'm so happy for the gift of my bonus baby, Mikey."

Meka is currently a corporate specialist for Comcast Corporation. When she is not at work she enjoys spending time with her family, working out, and relaxing.

Landis was born and raised in Chicago, IL. Although the youngest of five, I've had the opportunity to take care of my big sis and my mom. Being able to step up as a young man has made me into who I am today. I enjoy creating entrees that make people second guess if I created it. 

At the the age of 28, I became the proudest father in the world with the birth of Michael Irvin Thomas Moore. Now with our Union, I'm the proudest father of not only Michael but also LaMaiya. Who would have thought I would have a daughter, but after reflecting on the support that I provided to my mother and sister...IT ALL MAKES SENSE!

In my early adult years, I realized the passion for coaching and developing others. After several years of excelling in the customer service role, I was offerred a full time position in Learning and Developement at Comcast. I am now a Sr. Learning and Developement Professional and always striving for perfection. When I'm not busy at work, I enjoy spending time with my family and relaxing playing video games. 

The Groom has been counting down the days since he popped the question (shhh...don't tell the Bride).
