The couple met at work in January 2014, when Meka first started at the company. This was NOT a fairytale love story! They flirted a little over a year before they finally went on a date on March 1, 2015.

 Here's what she said...

I didn't necessarily care for his personality when we first met. I thought he was arrogant and tried to hard. I had a wall up because of past hurt and couldn't see the good thing that was right in front of me. I agreed to the date but still was very reluctant. I remember texting my bestfriend Shalamaar before the date telling her I didn't want to go. Her response was, "just go for the free food". That's exactly what I did, I had absolutely no expectations of this going anywhere. Boy was I wrong! Landis' geniune spirit and warm conversation was totally different from what I was used to seeing at work. I saw the "REAL" him! I felt comfort in his friendship, the more I added bricks to my wall,  the harder he worked to knock it down. Early in the relationship I tried to break it off with him, but I was only fooling myself. I was too far gone. No fairytale, just Geniune Love!

Here's what he said...

I didn't care for her attitude, she took soooooo many selfies at work that I thought she was putting together a modeling portfolio. I would crack jokes at work but she would only smirk at best and these were some of my best material. For some reason, it got my attention and I needed to know what it took to make her smile. I couldn't let her know that I had interest because she made it clear I wasn't her type. I thought to myself she's only seeing one side of me and maybe she'd like my outside personality. Still can't ask her out until I know she's going to say YES! So now I have to figure out if she's even available for a date. What did I do you ask, while in a group setting I asked "how many of you have a significant other?" and she didn't give a confirmation. Going forward, I would make small talk in passing making statements like; "when are you going to invite me over to the family barbque". Only a chuckle :(. Finally, after months of giving self invites; she says, "take my number and call me" :). That's my YES! Since we both enjoy a good glass of wine....The first date will be at Coopers Hawk. That's where it all began. Never realized how this was starting a new chapter in my life. This wasn't my plan it was God's plan. Now it's time to start the FOREVER MOORE chapter!
