Our special day of love will take place at the First A.M.E. Zion Church in Brooklyn, NY. The ceremony will be held on Saturday, February 14, 2009, at 10:30am and the attire is semi-formal/formal. Because we are getting married on Valentine’s Day, the colors for the event are red and white and the theme is: "Winter Wonderlove". Now although February is considered a winter month, this month has special meaning and symbolism in our lives.
It is the month that we had our first real date, held hands, went to our first concert and became friends. In addition to this momentous occasion, it is also Black History Month and the month for celebrating “Black Love”.
More importantly, the reason why we chose this day in this month, is because this is the month that both of our parents were married in, celebrating a combined total of 78 years together as one (the Jackson’s -35 years and the Purvis’- 43 years). So people, what better way to keep the tradition of our families going than by: honoring our parents and their sacrament before God and becoming a part of that spiritual union, commitment and matrimonial legacy, keeping it all in the family.
The wedding reception will immediately follow the nuptials in the Fellowship Hall of First A.M.E. Zion Church. The cocktail hour will begin at 11:30am and the “Wedding Wonderlove” Brunch Buffet will be served between the hours of 12:30-2:30p.m.
The entire meal will be catered by well renowned chef Karlton Harris, the owner of Cornbread and Caviar Restaurant (you know we had to go black owned and the menu is bananas ya’ll. We are sure that you will enjoy every bite and eat as much as you like. Entertainment wise, it’s a surprise!!!
Directions to the church will be included in your invitation as well as information regarding hotel rates and accommodations. Periodically, this website will be updated with further information, so be on the look out.

We are EXTREMELY grateful and appreciative to each and everyone of you and thank you for sharing in our special day. From our PARENTS to the SISTAH GIRLS to the HOMIES, we never would have made it, without the love of GOD, your prayers and support. And for that, we say thank you and love you all!!!
Furthermore, we are equally excited about our honeymoon rendevous at the El Dorado Casitas Royale and the beginning of our new lives together!!!
