We both met in the summer of 2000 while James was going to the College of the North Atlantic and Karen was working there! The College was having a whale watching/boat tour and this is when we first met! We didn't start dating for another month or so, but have been together ever since! (I don't think either of us saw a whale on that boat trip!)

We've lived in Truro, NS, Mackenzie, BC and currently reside in Grande Prairie, Alberta. James is working as a Mechanic with Husky and Karen is teaching in Rycroft.

We are having a Justice of the Peace come to our house the week prior to our trip. Once we are officially married, we are going to have a ceremony of renewal in Mexico. We've waited for a long time for this. We've been engaged for over 2 years and actually have discussed this for much more than that. We are excited about taking the next step and then planning our family!

We wish our family and friends could be there for us, however it was too difficult for us to accommodate everyone, and trust us, we tried. People say, "It's your day." So please let us enjoy what should be the best day of our lives. We are hoping that everyone understands our decision and that they realize that we just want to have a family. It is important that we have our family's blessing and support. We will be thinking of you all on our Wedding Day.
