Michelle and Mike met in the summer of 2016. Mike had been wrestling in Barrie, and Michelle was out with a friend. When they met, Michelle was informed that Mike was a pro-wrestler, and that she should not mess with him. Since Michelle is always up for a challenge, she instantly replied that she wasn't scared, and that she would give him the 'Sweet Chin Music' - a notorious move of their mutually favourite wrestler, Shawn Michaels. It was an instant connection (but it took many months before Mike would believe that Michelle actually liked wrestling).

Michelle's daughter Carlee was 6 years old at the time the couple met, and Michelle introduced Mike to her a few months later. They too formed an instant bond, which was magical for Michelle to watch. She knew Mike was special when she saw them together, and they thoroughly enjoyed being together and being silly! You can often find Mike chasing Carlee around the house, or watching movies and reading books. 

Mike and Michelle's relationship may have started off as any relationship would, but it quickly transformed with Mike's cancer diagnosis in late summer 2017. Through chemo treatments, surgeries, and many emotional highs and lows, Michelle and Mike knew that they were a tag team for life. Mike proposed on Christmas morning in 2017, but not before asking Carlee's permission first, with a ring of her own. 

Michelle, Mike and Carlee are so looking forward to their life together as a new family.
