Alyssa and Tyrone

Ty and Alyssa met just off the campus of West Chester University where she attended and Tyrone was attending Cheyney University not too far away. It was the summer of 2007 when Alyssa was studying with Ty's roommate for a summer anatomy class when they had their first interaction. Tyrone had just come back from Pittsburgh and was telling Alyssa about his recent trip when she told him that Pittsburgh was her hometown in which he preceded to tell her that she was not from Pittsburgh.

Alyssa quickly responded letting him know the popular areas and places he had frequented while he was there and corrected him when he tried to name a popular highway by number instead of calling it the parkway, which all Pittsburghers know it by. After several study sessions and an ending summer class Tyrone called to ask Alyssa out on a date. Although he mispronounced her name when calling to ask her out, she went out with him anyway. The rest is history. 

Tyrone and Alyssa became engaged on December 24, 2014. Tyrone traditionally has Christmas Eve dinner for family and friends at the Thorndale Inn. While Alyssa was getting ready to go to dinner Tyrone started to ask a list of questions about their time together and what they mean to one another. Alyssa was taken off gaurd when Tyrone got down on one knee and asked her to marry him right then and there. The engagement was personal and intimate. Tyrone presented Alyssa with a unique chocolate diamond. The newly engaged couple then met family and friends at the Thorndale Inn to announce the great news.
